1.
I've been wronged before. But not how you have wronged me. Your throats are empty graves. Your words prove my death is calling. Waking up everyday looking for an escape Walking away from all the places, memories I have made. I've been wronged before. But not how you have wronged me. The home is where the heart is. Well I don't have a heart to give. No home. No hope for you all anymore. I've been wronged before. But not how you have wronged me. brains too weak to think on their own. I've. Been. Wronged.
2.
I am suffering From the inside out Self afflicted pain it's never felt so right Burden I am your headache Erase my life Take back what you create Day after day I live in pain Talk it through It'll be too late Live my life in the past Take it away I want to die alone Certain death I want to die alone All by my self Can't see in front of me Death is guaranteed
3.
Wrap The Hands No one cares about your pain you have endured to survive No one cares about your pain inside, or how hard you have tried You tape your hands for a fight you cannot survive You tape your hands because you know you still have meaning inside I, I see there is something wrong As trash drips from their mouths they seize their crown All the while betraying all the names that I hold dear Their casual dismissal of something so pure My love My hate My pain inside My love My hate My pride inside Now something has changed My man, there are things from the heart that matter You will not find it in their eyes No compassion for your integrity You give it all, and they use you up What we stood for, what we fought for Our arms were wrapped around the sky But when they finished talking (it is as if) we were never here fighting Our walk on part in this war denied So, Tape your hands for one more fight A fight you cannot survive They have no respect So tape your hands and die alive I am not saying I do not want to see some change Just let some good things stay the same We all need some positive change and some good things to stay the same So, Tape your hands for one more fight A fight you can not survive Tape your hands Keep swinging Stay hungry And die alive They have no respect
4.
Changing times, changing places The hates still there, it only changes faces I look around and see these people With idol voices, standing by A chance not taken to speak for oppressed Is a conscious decision to side with the rest So I'll plant feet firm, brace against the attack To infringe on rights of others who don't meet the mold So I'll swing and I'll scream, break every nail and every board And destroy the oppression that my ancestors built Yeah I didn't create it, but I know I can break it So I could choose to feel guilty or I could choose to see things done Brothers versus my sisters, power struggle from both sides With a little understanding, we'll see a difference in their eyes Before we force opinions, who they sleep with at night We should take a chance to think and keep your baggage inside Injustice being done by everybody to everyone Could call it all in good fun, sidestep the hurt it carries on But I'm just one ship in a sea, storming with hate and desperate please Find myself asking, "What's the use?" But what a waste to live my life on mute I now look into this world, see all this pain and this hurt Hear drowned out cries for help that will never, ever be heard It's our golden opportunity
